TACT Coaching Seminar
Triathlon ACT is running a Coaching Seminar for interested members.
Date: Wednesday 16th November
Time: 6pm
Location: Triathlon ACT Office - King St Deakin

6:10 PM - TEN QUALITIES OF SUCCESSFUL COACHES - Wayne Goldsmith

7:00 PM - HOT TOPICS IN COACHING - Wayne Goldsmith
7:30 PM - Questions and Answers for Australian Triathlon Coaches.
8:00 PM Tea, coffee, informal discussion with coaches.
The presenter: Wayne Goldsmith, National Manager – Coach Development
Wayne has worked in sport for over 20 years. He was Swimming Australia Ltd's Manager of Sports Science and Sports Medicine from 1993-1998, Triathlon Australia's National Performance Manager 2003-2005 and the Australian Rugby Union's National Manager of High Performance Coach Development and Sports Science 2005-2006.
He has consulted with numerous sporting organisations in Australia and overseas including Tennis Australia, Swimming Australia and Diving Australia and he has worked with several professional sporting teams including the Sydney Roosters NRL, North Melbourne Kangaroos AFL and the Brumbies and Western Force Super Rugby franchises.
Wayne has a strong background in swimming, he has completed several ultra-marathons including the Six Foot Track (three times) and the Brindabella Classic (twice) and grew up in a cycling family (his father and uncle both being professional cyclists).
He is currently completing his PhD on the topic of training, educating and developing sports coaches.
