Plan for CPS#4
As you know the lake is closed and the chances of it being re-opened this weekend are slim. TACT's plan is to run CPS4 as a triathlon this weekend but if the lake remains close it will be postponed until Feb 28 to give the lake a couple more weeks to clear up. Postponing events was part of TACT's contingency plans when were putting this years calendar together.

If the lake is still not open on Feb 28 and we have not being able to source another venue we will run the event as a duathlon on that date at the original race site.

Please keep an eye on TACT's website for updated information. We will update this announcement as soon as Thursdays lake readings have been posted.

Aquathlon Postponed:
Thursday 4th February

We regret to inform all competitors that the Aquathlon scheduled has been postponed.

At 10:30 AM, TACT received the following notice from the National Capital Authority:

"We have just received news that there is no area of the lake available for Primary contact. The Weston Park West results have risen 50 000 points from Monday to today. This result means the water quality is at extreme level and primary contact is not permitted."

We will inform you of the new date as soon as we find a suitable alternative.
All entries fees will be automatically transferred to the next date. If you are not able to attend the event once the new date is released, TACT will refund your entry fee.

Once again we apologise for the inconvenience but this totally out of our control and we acted on the best information available to us at the time .

TRIATHLON ACT MISSION:
Triathlon ACT Inc. (TACT) is the peak body for the sport of triathlon and its related disciplines of duathlon and aquathlon in the ACT. TACT’s mission is:

to promote interest in triathlons and multi-sport endurance events;
to promote good fellowship among those interested in triathlons and multi-sport events;
to educate, train, coach and encourage members of the association;
to ensure triathlons and multi-endurance sport events are conducted in the best interests of the participants and the sport of triathlon and to liaise with and, where appropriate, in the absolute discretion of the association, to sanction event promoters and relevant bodies to achieve this;
to do all such things and acts conducive to the furtherance of the objects and interests of the association;
to do any one or all of the following, to promote, advertise, organise, conduct or sanction triathlon and multi-endurance sport events for its members and members of the public.

Triathlon will be a high profile sport in the ACT with growing participation rates from all age groups and competitor levels supported by highly professional leadership and administration
