2009 Crust-Cronulla Spring Beach Classic

The Crust-Cronulla Spring Beach Classic 8km Run and Walk will be held on the 27th September 2009.
From Wanda Beach to Boat Harbour and return organised by Wanda Surf Life Saving Club.
It is expected entrants to 1,000 people will enter this event with many more getting into the action as spectators and supporters, making it a fun family day out.
Funds raised will go towards supporting surf life saving equipment and services at Wanda SLSC.
The Brooks-Fitness First Sutherland 2 Surf is the major community participatory event in the Shire and is recognised as the lead up race for the City to Surf.
This great community event is held in July each year.
The Brooks-Fitness First Sutherland 2 Surf brings more than 7,000 competitors to race, wheel or walk 11kms from Sutherland Entertainment Centre to Wanda Beach.
As part of the Sutherland 2 Surf, there is the Tradies/Caltex Pro-Sprint category.
This category comprises the first 100 fastest seeded competitors and attracts top class runners from the Australian Institute of Sport.
The Tradies/Caltex Pro-Sprint offers prize money to the first top four male and female competitors.
TIMING TAGS
The Sutherland to Surf will be timed by an electronic timing system involving a tag that must be attached to your left shoe lace.You must wear the tag at all times as the tag is a means of recording your race time when you cross timing mats located at the start and finish lines. On finishing you will be required to remove the tag and hand it to officials before leaving the secured finish area. Should you lose your tag during the race you should alert an official at the finish of the event. The timing tag is on loan to you and you are committed to return the tag intact to Wanda Surf Life Saving Club.
A fee of $30 will be charged for non returned tags.
