The Brooks-Caltex Sutherland2Surf is the major community participatory event in the Shire and is recognised as the lead up race for the City to Surf.
This great community event is held in July each year.
Organised by volunteers. Funds raised support Wanda Surf Life Saving Club.
The Brooks-Caltex Sutherland2Surf brings more than 7,000 competitors to run or walk 11kms from Sutherland Entertainment Centre to Wanda Beach.
Tradies Fitness First Pro-Sprint.
This is a category that comprises the first 100 fastest seeded competitors and attracts top class runners , including some from the Australian Institute of Sport.
The Tradies Fitness First Pro-Sprint offers prize money to the first top four male and female competitors.

Race Bib and timing tag will be mailed out to all accepted entrants on Monday 19th July 2010.
After Monday 19th July , if you have entered by online entry or mailed a paper entry - chest number and shoetag collection can be only collected at :
1. 9.00am to 5.00 pm on Saturday 24th July 2010 at Wanda Surf Club.
2. Race morning from 7.00 am at Sutherland Entertainment Centre, Eton Street.

ASSEMBLE : Start Line – Flora Street, Sutherland by 8.15 a.m. with chest number pinned to front of shirt and timing tag attached to your shoe by your shoelace.
BUS SERVICE :
Buses will be available
Prior to the race at WANDA CLUBHOUSE at 7.00 am for transport to Sutherland.
Last bus leaves at 7.45 am, bus fare is $4.00.
And after the race from 11.00 am (no money, no ride).
CLOTHES BAG SERVICE :
Bags for warm up track suits are available at Sutherland and transported to Wanda for pick up.
START TIME : 8.30 a.m All runners and walkers will start.
For safety , all walkers will start behind the runners.
FINISH : Wanda Surf Life Saving Club.
TIMING SHOE TAGS
The event will be timed by an electronic timing system involving a tag that must be attached to your left shoe lace.You must wear the tag at all times as the tag is a means of recording your race time when you cross timing mats located at the start and finish lines. On finishing you will be required to remove the tag and hand it to officials before leaving the secured finish area. Should you lose your tag during the race you should alert an official at the finish of the event.
The timing tag is on loan to you and you are committed to return the tag intact to Wanda Surf Life Saving Club.
A fee of $30 will be charged for non-returned tags.
